San Nicolás is one of the oldest parishes in Valencia. Founded more than 700 years ago, it is an old Gothic temple reformed centuries later to give it the appearance it has today: at the end of the 17th century its works were completely transformed and decorated in fresco until they were completely covered by a beautiful baroque decoration that It impresses everyone who visits it.

Rules for access to the temple

The tourist visit is possible from Tuesday to Sunday. On Mondays there is no tourist visit.

During the visit, it is allowed to take pictures, always without flash to preserve the quality of the paintings.

Reduced and free tickets

All people who are entitled to a free ticket or a discount in time.
They have the right to free admission: children under 12 years old and officially accredited tourism guides.
They have the right to a reduced ticket with accreditation: students, pensioners, unemployed people, disabled or holders of the tourist card of Valencia.

Access with animals is not allowed, except guide dogs.

San Nicolás ofrece visitas guiadas regularmente de martes a domingo, consulta los horarios. Por motivos de aforo, es imprescindible hacer reserva previa.

Are visits offered in other languages?

For our guided tours we have expert official guides. You can request a visit in English, French, Italian, German and Russian. For other languages, it is recommended to consult.

I bought the combined ticket of the Silk Museum and San Nicolás. Can I do a guided tour with this ticket?

Yes, the combined ticket includes both the audio guide visit and the guided tour, as long as the visiting hours offered match your availability. If you are interested in doing the guided tour, do not forget to make your reservation.

Is the route accessible to people with reduced mobility?

Yes, all the visitable space is enabled to allow the use of wheelchairs.

Can I buy a souvenir at the end of the tour?

San Nicolás has a shop within the reach of visitors. Its collection helps to finance the social projects in which the Parish is involved.

Is it allowed to take photos or videos?

Yes, the use of cameras without a tripod and without a flash is allowed.

Can I visit the church outside the cultural visit times?

Out of respect for the faithful who enter the temple for the purpose of worship and not to interrupt the proper development of the Masses, during the worship hours, the tourist visit is not allowed in any case.

Who has access to the reduced rate?

The reduced entry applies to students of any regulated education, unemployed, pensioners, members of large families or single parents, people with disabilities, users of the Valencia Tourist Card or ICOM members, with prior accreditation in each case.

Access is free for children up to 12 years, always accompanied by an adult, as well as for qualified tour guides.
